5 big names who missed out on a 2025 PGA Tour card ft Wesley Bryan

The final roster for the 2025 PGA Tour has been revealed following the RSM Classic, and while it promises an influx of fresh talent, some familiar faces failed to secure their spots.

The PGA Tour’s increasingly competitive structure, limiting the fully exempt field to 125 players, has left several notable names on the sidelines. Among the fortunate were European golfers like Rasmus Hojgaard and Thriston Lawrence, who earned dual cards through top performances in the Race to Dubai standings.

However, others, including Jimmy Walker, Francesco Molinari, and Wesley Bryan, found themselves outside the cut, unable to crack the rankings required to retain their Tour status.

The absence of these seasoned players reflects both the heightened competition and the challenges of maintaining top-tier form. Wesley Bryan, for instance, entered the Fall series clinging to the 125th spot but ended in 128th after missing the cut at the RSM Classic.

Francesco Molinari, a Ryder Cup legend, struggled to find consistency this year, finishing outside the top 190 in eligibility. Meanwhile, Jimmy Walker, battling the effects of Lyme disease, split his efforts between the PGA and European circuits but failed to regain his card.

As the Tour tightens its roster further for 2026, reducing exempt slots to just 100, the journey back for these players will demand exceptional resilience and performance.
