PGA Tour told they may have let next Scottie Scheffler ‘slip through the crack’ after official decision made

The PGA Tour’s recent policy changes, approved by its board, have sparked widespread debate within the golfing community. Beginning in 2025 and 2026, significant adjustments will affect the FedEx Cup points system, field sizes, and the availability of full tour cards. The reduction from 125 to 100 full tour cards marks a notable shift, potentially limiting opportunities for emerging talent.

The changes also impact developmental avenues like the Korn Ferry Tour and Monday qualifiers, traditionally vital for aspiring players. The Korn Ferry Tour will see its card allotment reduced from 30 to 20, while certain Monday qualifier events will be further restricted.
