Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler delivered an exceptional performance, closing with a 63 to claim victory. Reflecting on his game, Thomas acknowledged a mix of bad breaks and underwhelming execution. “I would have liked to put more heat on Scottie on the back nine,” he admitted.
“But you can’t expect good results when leading by one and only shooting 1-under on Sunday.” Despite the setback, Thomas recognized the experience of competing in the final group as an encouraging sign of progress.

Although the Hero World Challenge is not an official PGA Tour event, a victory could have marked a significant comeback for Thomas, whose last win came at the 2022 PGA Championship.
