The Grant Thornton Invitational, a unique mixed-team event co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR and LPGA, has returned to Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida. This tournament brings together 16 global teams featuring top players from both tours, including LPGA Player of the Year Nelly Korda and PGA TOUR veteran Tony Finau.

The competition spans three rounds with distinct formats: Scramble for Round 1, Foursomes for Round 2, and a Modified Four-ball for the finale. Players compete on a course tailored to their tours, with men playing at 7,382 yards and women at 6,788 yards. Defending champions Lydia Ko and Jason Day, who set the 54-hole record of 190 in 2023, are back to defend their title against an elite field.

Notable teams include Brooke Henderson paired with Corey Conners and Jennifer Kupcho teamed with Akshay Bhatia. Both have demonstrated strong form this season, with Henderson claiming nine top-10 finishes and Bhatia securing his second career victory at the Valero Texas Open.

The event’s format fosters thrilling play, showcasing the skills of players like Jeeno Thitikul, who notched 12 top-10 finishes this year, and Tom Kim, a standout on the PGA TOUR.
