Emma Raducanu will begin her 2025 tennis season at the ASB Classic in Auckland, set to start on December 30, 2024. She will face Robin Montgomery in the first round of the WTA 250 event. Seeded sixth, Raducanu enters her third appearance at the tournament, aiming for better results after falling in the second round in both 2023 and 2024.

Montgomery, ranked World No. 117, is an up-and-coming American player who has already achieved notable milestones, including winning the 2021 US Open Girls’ Singles title and capturing three ITF titles.

This first-round match will mark their first-ever meeting on the WTA Tour, with Raducanu eyeing her first title since the 2021 US Open, as she continues to recover from injuries that have hampered her career.

Should she progress, Raducanu could face players like Jule Niemeier, Lulu Sun, and Madison Keys, with a potential final showdown against second-seeded Elise Mertens.
