Tiger Woods sparks concern with latest announcement over his playing plans

Published

on

Tiger Woods has announced he will not compete in the Hero World Challenge, scheduled for December 5-8 in Albany, Bahamas, marking another extended absence for the 15-time major champion.

Woods, who has played a limited schedule in recent years due to recurring injuries, expressed disappointment over missing the event but reiterated his commitment as its host.

The golf icon has not competed since missing the cut at The Open in July and undergoing back surgery in September to address nerve impingement. While Woods did not specify the reason for his withdrawal, his recovery remains a focal point, with fans anticipating his

potential return at the PNC Championship later in December or the launch of his TGL golf league in January 2025. This announcement has raised concerns about Woods’ long-term competitive future, as he has only completed one tournament this year.
