Tiger Woods’ evident distaste for the LIV Golf Series has become increasingly pronounced since the inception of his own innovative league in collaboration with Rory McIlroy. What makes this development more intriguing is the recent entry of the $7 billion behemoth, along with tennis icon Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian, into the legend’s brainchild, all while rumors of Tiger’s comeback to the game swirl around.

The aforementioned giant has made a significant purchase, securing a team in the new league to represent Atlanta on the golf map. In an unexpected twist, the billionaire’s consortium has unveiled their team for the innovative league, leaving the golf community in awe.

The world of golf witnessed billionaire Arthur Blank and other prominent figures acquiring teams from TMRW Sports’ new league. Notably, AMB Sports and Entertainment, known for their investments in the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United, announced the addition of their third team in the indoor golf league.

In a spectacular video presentation, the group introduced their franchise, Atlanta Drive GC, complete with its distinctive red logo featuring the letter ‘A’ within the full squad name, reflecting Arthur Blank’s ownership. Dick Sullivan, the CEO of PGA TOUR Superstore, highlighted Atlanta’s reputation for relentless growth and prosperity, aligning it with AMBSE’s entry into the innovative league, emphasizing how it represents the city’s legacy.

The timing of this announcement coincides with the return of the golf legend Tiger Woods to the game. Woods, who recently hosted the TGR Invitational at Pebble Beach, is rumored to stage his comeback during the Hero World Challenge later in 2023.

The introduction of the new Atlanta Drive GC team is poised to invigorate Atlanta’s sporting history, and it symbolizes a similar sentiment for the other partners of the TGL, which we’ll briefly explore next.

The TGL has been successful in attracting prominent figures from various fields. Tennis superstar Serena Williams and her husband entered the league by purchasing a team to represent Los Angeles. Following suit, the Fenway Sports Group announced their collaboration, constituting a team for Boston. Arthur Blank’s entry marks the Atlanta team, and Cohen Private Ventures took ownership of the last team, representing New York, as New York Mets owner Steven A. Cohen joined the innovative league.

The new league features tech-based teams, consisting of groups of three players competing against each other over the next season. The gameplay takes place on life-size simulators, and several top players have already committed to participating.
