As the last opportunity for the top 60 players to qualify for the $7 million CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Thompson adopts a headstrong approach, determined to ‘push through the pain’ and secure a spot in the finale.
In an interview with ASAP Sports, Thompson shared insight into her mental approach, emphasizing the importance of being 100% committed in golf, a sport she describes as “such a mental game.” Her go-to mantra when doubts arise is to “back off” and allow the negativity to dissipate, emphasizing the necessity of a positive attitude for optimal performance.
