After wrist surgery, Jordan Spieth finally sounds healthy again

Jordan Spieth’s offseason break proved crucial as he underwent wrist surgery to address a recurring issue in his left wrist that had plagued him for years. After finishing tied for 68th at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in August, Spieth prioritized his health, opting for surgery to “recreate the tendon” for stability and prevent dislocations.

In a recent appearance on Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz’s SiriusXM radio show, Spieth shared encouraging updates on his recovery. “Everything’s gone according to plan,” he said, noting he is now swinging without restrictions and pain-free.

Spieth acknowledged initial struggles to regain his form but expressed confidence in his progress, crediting the downtime for allowing him to reset his mechanics and build a solid foundation for the upcoming season.

Beyond physical recovery, Spieth has been honing his mental game and staying active with short-game practices during therapy. While preparing for a January return to the Tour, he revealed an unexpected off-course highlight: a cameo in a potential “Happy Gilmore” sequel alongside golf legends like Jack Nicklaus and Lee Trevino, as well as current stars Rickie Fowler and Collin Morikawa.

Spieth’s focus remains on a full-strength return, with plans to endure three consecutive weeks of competition as his ultimate test. With renewed confidence in his swing and a commitment to staying healthy, fans eagerly anticipate seeing Spieth back in action, ready to reclaim his place among golf’s elite.
