In a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee show, former tennis star Andre Agassi made a lighthearted joke about his wife Steffi Graf, suggesting that if she were to leave him, he should get half of her Grand Slam titles. Agassi, who had an illustrious career with eight Grand Slam victories and an Olympic gold medal, including four Australian Open titles, playfully proposed this hypothetical scenario as a means to challenge Novak Djokovic’s all-time Grand Slam record.

Agassi’s marriage with Graf, another tennis legend who concluded her career in 1999 with 22 Grand Slam titles, remains strong after 22 years. Despite the playful banter, Agassi’s mathematical jest drew attention, as halving Graf’s Grand Slam count would not be sufficient to surpass Djokovic’s record.

During the interview, Agassi shared insights into his upcoming participation with Graf in Pickleball Slam 2, emphasizing the unique dynamics of playing pickleball as a couple. The former tennis star acknowledged that engaging in the sport together could either strengthen or challenge a relationship, emphasizing the need for caution.

Despite Agassi’s humorous remarks and strategic divorce planning, it’s evident that he and Graf continue to enjoy a happy and enduring marriage. While Agassi may not catch up to Djokovic in terms of Grand Slam victories, he holds a unique distinction with a ‘Golden Slam’ and a gold medal from the 1996 Olympics, a feat yet to be achieved by the Serbian tennis icon.
