On the other side, Brooks Koepka basks in the glory of his victory at the LIV Golf event in Jeddah.

However, the 2023 PGA Championship winner’s elation was short-lived as he encountered a tragic conclusion to the tournament. Joining Koepka in his moment of disappointment is none other than Phil Mickelson, who had a challenging competition of his own and received a wake-up call in the process.

However, as a team leader, Mickelson is already assured a spot in the PIF-funded league for the next year, thanks to his captaincy.

While Mickelson narrowly avoided scrutiny, the same cannot be said for his longtime rival, Tiger Woods, and Woods’ new business venture in St. Andrews. Woods, alongside Justin Timberlake and NEXUS Luxury Collection, had planned to transform the New Picture House Cinema into a golf bar with simulators, duckpin bowling, darts, and large-screen televisions for sporting events. This initiative faced backlash from local residents who felt it would primarily cater to affluent tourists, and they also lamented the loss of the cinema, a vital part of their town.

The petition against Woods’ project has been circulating for some time, as it remains a contentious issue among the town’s residents. As the manager of the theater, David Morris, voiced his support for Woods, the local community continued to express their concerns.
