Carlos Alcaraz, currently in Paris for the Masters 1000 tournament, shared his thoughts on the Ballon d’Or, saying that “both Rodri and Vinícius deserve it.”

“It seemed like Vinícius was going to win it, now it looks like it might be Rodri. They’re both incredible players and deserve it after such an amazing year. I get along well with both, so I’ll be happy for whoever wins,” said the world No. 2.

Alcaraz confirmed he won’t attend tonight’s ceremony at the Chatelet Theatre but plans to watch it on TV. “I would have loved to go, but I didn’t get an invite. Besides, I’m here for the tournament, and I have a match tomorrow (against either Chilean Nicolás Jarry or Italian Lorenzo Sonego),” he noted.
