Charley Hull Leads After First Round at Women’s Open

Charley Hull leads the Women’s Open after the first round at St. Andrews. She shot a five-under-par 67, featuring six birdies and one bogey. Hull’s performance was particularly strong on the back nine.

World number one Nelly Korda and China’s Yin Ruoning are close behind, each scoring 68. Defending champion Lilia Vu is among those two shots back after finishing with a 69.

Hull’s next round begins Friday at 3:55 a.m. ET, again paired with Korda and Vu. She looks forward to continuing the competition.
