Jordan Spieth, a prominent figure on the PGA Tour, has faced a challenging year due to a lingering wrist injury. Throughout the season, the 29-year-old golfer has been hampered in various tournaments by this unfortunate setback, which has disrupted his career momentum.

While the public was aware of Spieth’s wrist injury, the specific nature of the harm remained a mystery, sparking widespread debate and speculation. However, the time for speculation is now over as Spieth candidly disclosed the circumstances surrounding his injury.

Spieth’s wrist troubles began during or after the Wells Fargo Championship, casting doubts on his participation in the PGA Championship, one of golf’s major events. Despite challenging conditions at the Oak Hills course, Spieth tenaciously competed, finishing with a five-over-par score that secured him a respectable T29 finish.

Despite the setback, the three-time major championship winner persevered, playing through the discomfort. However, the real cause of the issue was only revealed in the lead-up to the Charles Schwab Challenge, leaving many puzzled.

Spieth, known for his love of golf and his one-year-old son Sammy, has been seen frequently with his baby boy, who even stole the spotlight at this year’s Masters Tournament. Spieth’s affection for Sammy is evident, but it appears that his playful interactions with his son led to the wrist injury that has been the subject of speculation.

In a surprising revelation, Spieth confessed, “No, it was after I got home. I was just playing with my son. I wasn’t even holding him or anything. I was just pushing myself off the ground while he was laughing and moving around. Something just popped and jammed, and then all of a sudden, I couldn’t move it and got on it right away.”

This unexpected explanation left everyone astonished. The official diagnosis of Spieth’s injury is a moderate-grade tendon sheath tear, which, fortunately, is not at a severe stage currently. This diagnosis has allowed Spieth to continue competing in further events.
