Sebastian Korda, a rising star in tennis, recently took a break from his sport to indulge in another of his passions: hockey. The 24-year-old, recovering from elbow surgery undergone in October, attended a Tampa Bay Lightning game alongside his sister, LPGA World No. 1 Nelly Korda.

As a lifelong hockey enthusiast who grew up playing the sport and maintaining close ties with NHL players, Korda was given the honor of activating the team’s iconic Tesla Coils before the match, adding a personal touch to the evening’s excitement.

While his 2024 season was cut short due to injury, Korda has made the most of his recovery period. In November, he surprised Nelly at The Annika LPGA event, where he witnessed her victory in person for the first time.

This off-court time follows a season where Korda achieved significant milestones, including capturing his maiden ATP 500 title at the Mubadala Citi DC Open and reaching a career-high ATP ranking of No. 15.

With a solid 31-19 record this year, the Florida native is determined to return stronger in 2025, eager to build on his impressive form before the setback.
