Lexi Thompson is gearing up for her 13th LPGA season with a significant change in her game.

Just on the eve of the LPGA’s Drive On Championship, Thompson made the exciting announcement that she has secured an endorsement deal with Maxfli to play their ball for the entire season. Despite facing challenges in her ball-striking during the previous season, Thompson displayed a remarkable turnaround toward the end of the year, particularly at the Solheim Cup and in her pursuit of making the cut at the PGA Tour’s Shriners Children’s Open.

The decision to switch to the Maxfli Tour Series ball is strategic, as it features a redesigned core to enhance ball speed for increased distance while also optimizing spin for both irons and wedges. Thompson expressed her satisfaction with the Maxfli Tour Series, highlighting its ability to boost her ball speed without compromising control. In a released statement, she stated, “I’m excited to be joining forces with a brand that has such a longstanding, proven reputation for high quality and performance.”

The Maxfli Tour Series ball, priced at $39.99 per dozen, will be exclusively available at Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy, reflecting a commitment to accessibility for golf enthusiasts. This move not only signifies a pivotal shift for Thompson’s game but also underscores the importance of equipment choices in the competitive landscape of professional golf.
