Nico Echavarria, a rising Colombian golfer, has been making waves on the PGA Tour with a determined approach and an impressive track record. Born on August 4, 1994, in Medellin, Echavarria was introduced to golf at the age of two by his father and grandfather, sparking a lifelong passion for the sport.

He later honed his skills at the University of Arkansas, where he represented Colombia in the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy. Turning professional in 2017, Echavarria quickly climbed the ranks with victories on the PGA Tour Latin America and on the Korn Ferry Tour, securing his PGA Tour card for the 2022–23 season after finishing in the top 25 at the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.

Echavarria’s journey on the PGA Tour continued to build momentum as he earned his first PGA Tour victory at the 2023 Puerto Rico Open, edging out competitor Akshay Bhatia. This win underscored his tenacity and skill, qualities that had also led him to make his Major debut at the 2023 PGA Championship, followed by appearances in the US Open in both 2023 and 2024.

Off the course, Echavarria is known for his admiration of players like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, as well as his enthusiasm for table tennis and tennis.
