Former world No. 1 women’s tennis player, Simona Halep, finds herself facing yet another uphill battle in her career. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has charged Halep with a second anti-doping violation, this time due to “irregularities” found in her biological passport. It has been a challenging road for the Romanian, who has been absent from the professional tennis circuit since testing positive for the banned substance Roxadustat at the 2022 U.S. Open.
