Jon Rahm and his wife Kelley Cahill welcomed their third child, a daughter named Alaia Cahill Rahm, on September 24. The name Alaia is of Basque origin, meaning joy and happiness, reflecting Rahm’s heritage, as he was born in the Basque region of Spain.

Interestingly, the name Alaia has other meanings across different cultures, including “high status” in Arabic and “virtuous” in Hindu traditions. Rahm expressed his excitement on Instagram, sharing photos of his newborn daughter, and noting that both mother and baby were healthy and doing well.

Rahm and Cahill’s first child, Kepa, was born in 2021, followed by their second son, Eneko, in 2022. The news of Alaia’s birth came just before the Open de Espana, causing Rahm to miss the event’s Pro-Am.

Despite the busy time, Rahm returned to compete, narrowly losing to Angel Hidalgo in a playoff. The golfer has had an impressive year, including winning the LIV Golf Individual title in Chicago with an 11-under score. Rahm’s dedication to both his family and his career remains evident as he balances fatherhood with his professional triumphs.
