Lindsey Vonn recently shared a touching message on Veterans Day, honoring her late grandfather, Don Kildow, who served in the Korean War. Reflecting on his dedication to both his family and country, Vonn expressed deep gratitude for his service.

She posted a vintage photo of him in his military uniform, accompanied by a heartfelt caption: “On Veterans Day and every day, I am thankful to those who have served and are serving our country to protect us and our freedom. You have my gratitude and respect Thank you to my grandpa, who served in the Korean War. I miss you ❤️.” Vonn often shares her family’s influence on her career, with her grandfather playing a significant role in her skiing journey.

Throughout her accomplished career, Vonn has celebrated her family’s support, particularly her father, Alan Kildow, and her late mother, Linda Anne Lund, who passed in 2022 after battling ALS. Vonn has publicly expressed her appreciation for her father’s role in shaping her love for the mountains and his unwavering support.
