Lindsey Vonn reacts to US Ski team’s performance at the Beaver Creek World Cup ahead of her return to major events in St.Moritz

Lindsey Vonn has shared her admiration for the U.S. women’s ski team following their performance at the Beaver Creek World Cup, as she prepares for her return to competitive skiing at the St. Moritz World Cup. After retiring in 2019 due to injuries and undergoing a knee replacement earlier this year, Vonn is gradually making her comeback.

She served as a forerunner at the Beaver Creek Women’s Downhill event, clocking an impressive time of 1:34.1, which would have placed her in the top 20 among competitors.

Sharing a photo of the team on Instagram, Vonn praised athletes like Lauren Macuga, Breezy Johnson, and Olympian Keely Cashman, expressing pride in their energy and accomplishments.

Reflecting on her own run at Beaver Creek, Vonn described the joy of crossing the finish line amidst cheers from family, friends, and fans. She expressed gratitude to the supportive crowd and acknowledged the significance of this step in her comeback journey.

“If you couldn’t tell by my smile… I had SO much fun!” she wrote. With renewed determination, Vonn now sets her sights on the St. Moritz World Cup, scheduled for December 21-22, where she will compete with her titanium knee and a fresh resolve to reclaim her place among the world’s best skiers.
