With a new putter and a pain-free return, Jordan Spieth showed promising signs at the WM Phoenix Open. Carding a 3-under 68 in the opening round, Spieth looked confident and in control of his game.

The three-time major champion switched to a Scotty Cameron T5.5 putter, a change aimed at improving consistency on the greens. Spieth, who previously struggled with putting, seemed comfortable and committed to the adjustment.

Beyond equipment changes, Spieth emphasized how playing without physical pain has rejuvenated his performance. For the first time in months, he felt fluid and unrestricted in his swing.

Spieth believes he’s close to regaining the form that brought him success earlier in his career. With this newfound confidence, he hopes to build momentum in the coming rounds.
