Lindsey Vonn recently shared a moving update on Instagram about her beloved dog Leo, who has been battling lymphoma cancer. Vonn, a retired alpine skiing champion, took Leo to the vet after noticing lumps near his lymph nodes following her return from the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she played an instrumental role in advocating for Salt Lake City’s bid for the 2034 Winter Olympics.

The diagnosis revealed Leo’s condition, and he soon began a rigorous chemotherapy plan. Vonn has expressed her admiration for Leo’s resilience and shared that their bond provides her with immense strength during this challenging time, adding, “I feel so lucky to have these moments with him.”

Leo has been a loyal companion to Vonn since she rescued him from an animal shelter in 2014. He had a rough start, enduring knee surgery after being hit by a car, but Vonn was drawn to his fighting spirit. Through her own numerous injuries and surgeries over the years, Leo stood by her side, offering comfort and companionship as she rehabilitated.

Vonn’s recent post also noted that Leo’s treatment, scheduled over 25 weeks, has shown positive results, as his vet confirmed he is now in remission. Vonn’s tribute to Leo highlights the unbreakable bond they share and her deep gratitude for the strength he brings her.
