Scottie Scheffler (USA), the world No. 1 player in men’s golf who dominated the PGA Tour this year, injured his hand due to a ridiculous mistake.

Scottie Scheffler, the world’s No. 1 men’s golfer, will miss the 2025 PGA Tour season opener, The Sentry, due to a hand injury caused by an unusual accident.

According to a statement by his manager, Blake Smith, Scheffler sustained the injury while preparing Christmas dinner, accidentally stabbing his right palm with a shard of broken glass.

Surgery was required to remove a fragment of glass, and he is expected to recover fully in three to four weeks. Scheduled to take place at the Plantation Course in Kapalua, Hawaii, from January 2, The Sentry is a premier event featuring a $20 million prize pool, open only to select top players.
